Well, our cars are getting very expensive. Only rich guys can spend $100,000 plus on a classic car. So the parts folks know that rich guys will pay $20,000 to get their new 40 year old Porsche rebuilt. They know that rich guys will buy all the parts they need no matter what the cost. Sad to say but our cars have moved over to a whole new high end group of owners. And more every day. Remember 30 years ago there were junk worn out 912's everywhere? You could pick one up for $6000 easy. Now they are restored and sell for $70,000!!! Mini Cooper and the Cayman S are starting to look pretty good! BTW, I spent a day this week in a Cayman S and it still is the best car I have ever driven!
