Thats a nice kit Rika, but without some serious training its wasted effort!
With a nurse in the house, you'd think we'd have a serious first aid kit, but we really need to step it up! Our plan is to stabilize and get to the ER less than 2 minutes away!
Don, for basic stuff, the Red Cross first aid and CPR courses are pretty good. You'll spend about a day doing both and will have a good grasp on the basics in the event you should need them. It will mostly focus on stabilize and call 911, which is fine here in town. If you are planning on spending lots of times out in BFE, then a more advanced course is in order.
And CPR training should be mandatory for everyone these days. We just did it with our 10 yr old cub scouts. Get them started young so they know what to do!
