Thanks for the links. I already have the manuals.
The car was mixing coolant and oil. The owner suggested head gasket. I pulled the valve cover to find no3 intake cam lobes rusted which told me where the problem is. I pulled the head didn't see any obvious damage to the gasket, the head shop said the head is not cracked. I guess I measure the block straightness next? How common are block failures on these cars? I did notice the head bolts as with most of the nuts and bolts came off easily. I wonder if it wasn't torqued properly?
