I'm in the process of selling my car, and one of the potential buyers asked what the engine code was, so that he could ensure the engine was still the original Euro engine.

Where is the engine code? I thought it was to the right of the cooling fan, but I looked there and didn't see anything - of course, the air conditioner mount may be in the way. Can someone help? Also, what would the expected engine code be for a 1981 Euro?
