Wonder why the 30.06 is rarely mentioned these days? Though my deer rifle from my teens is a lever .30-30, back then, the other caliber of choice was invariably the .06...times change but classics don't IMO. I take it you didn't notice a nice .22 revolver while "shopping for ammo"
