Well, I for one, as a guy who likes to piss off my front porch and scratch my sac with no regrets, am happy that this wasn't a case of espionage.

This does bring up a general drone question though. Earlier this year at the beach, I saw a drone for the first time. It hovered above the beach, went straight up, then moved straight out over water- WAAAAAAYYYYY out. , to the point I could barely see it, hovered there for quite some time, then moved straight back in, hovered there over the beach for minutes, and then moved inland beyond sight.

I was amazed- for there was a 15-20 mph wind/breeze moving DOWN the beach, which means the drone was compensating for it somehow, however, it appeared to be flying on coordinates, not making random adjustments for the wind.

How did it do this? Do drones have GPS coordinates to "pin" or "snap" it on pure perpendicular planes of flight? I have no earthly idea how it flew so accurately. how'd they do that?
