Then moving back to the shifter assembly... I started with a stock G50 shifter and installed a JWest set up which is a work of art and butter smooth! We did have to cut out one of the sheet metal supports in the bottom of the tunnel and make a slight dimple in the floor pan in order for the shifter to clear. From there, the G50 shift rod and coupler can go in. The rear portion of the shift rod is too wide to fit through the round access hole in the fire wall so we shaved down the edges of the shift rod slightly and it was able to slide in.
