Is the car stuck in reverse? If so it might be the reverse light actuator pin is stuck in the out position. I've done that when I farked up a shift linkage adjustment. The remedy was to remove the reverse light switch and push in the pin with a suitably sized rod. It's messy if the gbox isn't drained. You'll loose a couple of cupfulls of oil, be prepared.
