I noticed yesterday, while taking my car on a mini road trip on my day off, that there are switch openings behind the vinyl on the instrument panel; IIRC these were for the rear wiper and headlamp washer switches on cars so equipped. My first thought was that it would be nice to use these handy openings to locate switches, for, well, I dunno what, but I will eventually want to control something. Would this require adding wiring to the dash harness, or is there already a pigtail of some kind behind the instruments?
