the boost wont shut the plate. it would only do that if the pivot point of the plate was at the edge and it opened "up", the shaft is in the center.

if you are lifting the throttle BEFORE you push in the clutch its going to do that. you are putting a LOT of power down then suddenly lifting, thats has a big reaction from accelerating to slowing.

i have gotten on the gas then had to lift pretty quick, its pretty "violent". my wife kinda freaks out.

you have to have a very gentle foot.
