I had the same issue on a 72...Parking light on the drivers side front didn't work, however the blinker did. The issue was the ground in the front trunk just ahead front of the battery. 5 wires on a ground post with a nut to hold them in place. Cleaned each wire and the post...used a little dielectric grease and it now works fine.
Sometimes it the simple stuff that gets it done.
