I already have a squirrel cage motor/fan that I pulled out of my dead microwave a few months back.
There's room for the tubes above the gas burner and below the faux logs.
I don't think what I have planned will cost me anywhere near $600 - if so, I'll find a junked fireplace blower system somewhere.
When I put a 12" fan in front of my gas fireplace, it heats up my HUGE living room within an hour - I rarely have to turn on the house heater.
