The kid has stepped up to the plate as well. A confirmed "Star Wars" geek, he built and put together his own "Tie Fighter" costume so he can join the 501st Division. A community of SW fans who dress up and visit hospitals and other kid's charity events.
This weekend they did a "buddy walk" with kids who have Down's Syndrome. They got together with the animal shelter and the kids got to walk around with dogs and Star Wars characters. Very proud.
Oh, and he's 6'7" so he is their 2nd string Darth Vader
