It can be done in the car but so much easier outside on a bench. hard to get the bottoms of the float bowls in the car.
I usually soak them overnight to loosen crud in the passageways and then blow them out with a compressor. This usually does the trick.
Its only 16 nuts. 12 manifold and 4 linkage.
