Jim,

Thanks for checking it out for me. I'm thinking that it is very unlikely that Porsche designed and/or bought a different wiper motor just for the 914-6. More likely they used the same motor as the 911 and attached it to slightly different linkanges to fit properly under the cowl. And the part number refers to the whole assembly and that's why the part number is a 914 part number and not a 911 part number. What do you think about this theory? Is it just wishful thinking.

As a side note, part of the problem is that I do not have a 914-6 wiper motor for reference to compare against a 911 motor so I wouldn't know if the 911 motor was compatible even if I saw one.
