I agree with your theory in large part. The part #'s I posted are for motor only, not a linkage assembly. I too think it is a 911 motor but with some, maybe slight, difference. Unfortunately you may need to see a 6 motor. I have one in a car which might be accessible enough to photo but car is at another location so I can't look now. I suggest you post your question on the 914club.com board. There are several 6 "experts" who post there. Mike Ginter, Lawrence and the "boss" Brad should all be able to help. At least they have access to 6's to look at.
