Troy,
I placed one screw style hose clamp on each end of the expandable tubes and gently tapped on the hose clamp in order to drive the tubes into place. Lubed with assembly lube. No leaks from the area. Gently tapping in the opposite direction or using a wrench should achieve the same results.
