if you don't use a silicone paste in large quantity, they do what you describe. oil doesn't work. dow corning 111 is good stuff, but there are others. i use two pairs of extra long needlenose pliers, one to hold in the outer end so it doesn't come out of the cam tower, the other to expand and wiggle the other end into the case. easy with silicone paste.
