as former owner of a standard 2004 with ABS and heated grips, I'd say it was completely reliable. It is servo equipped and linked and very complicated to bleed air from, change fluid or diagnose light indicating problem. Also the residual, when key is off makes loading onto a trailer PIA, as it acts so different from every other bike.But with maintenance very reliable.
