Silicon lube is a MUST for this job. I wouldn't advice using vice grips. The hose clamp trick works great. One way to expand the tubes using the hose clamps is with an open-end wrench. (Tip from Joe A. in Phoenix)

The tube that gave me the most trouble, believe it or not, was the front passenger side tube. I couldn't find any leverage to expand the tube.
