Well in case anyone is interested, lumberjack is NOT a profession I aspire to. I will not be a professional lawn sprinkler repairman or lumberjack or gay prostitute. I tried the first two, I just "KNOW' the last is not for me.
That resembles work. I managed to get all the hanging limbs down and drag the big crap to the west end of my yard. It is too wet and cold to mess with dragging them to the curb. The big pear tree is history. It is damaged too much. We will indeed hire a real professional to remove the tree. No way can I handle that job.
It was a "perfect" storm. Early in the season and the first real winter weather. The tree was just loaded with green leaves. Too much weight when covered in ice.
