I have an acquaintance that is very much believes the world is close to Apocalypse. He has tons of ammo and more 22 LR than anything. He says it is easy to carry hundreds of rounds and it will take down most things, including the bad guys coming for his stuff.
He has been buying the entire stock of 22LR when he sees them. He has a fortune in inventory. He says they will be the currency of the future.
I just smile and nod my head and change the subject.
