When I was a kid I read the Wizard of Id comic strip. Two of the recurring characters are Bung, the village wino, and a Larsen E. Pettifogger, a lawyer who often occupies a bar seat next to Bung. One strip had Bung trip drunkenly on the sidewalk and land at Larsen's feet. The lawyer looked down at Bung and said "If you can crawl a few more feet to my office I can make us both a lot of money."

I'm not sure why that strip has stuck with me so long but I still use the joke from time to time.
