Yes, but they were wrong...as usual. They did not work for Homeland Security as the talking heads claimed (they got the info from a helpful Democrat Congressman who claimed 72 DHS employees). They actually employees of private companies who need aviation industry access. 73 people on the no fly list (airport/airline employees) were not initially caught by the TSA algorithm (but should have been) because they were coded differently and TSA was not given that specific code. There are different ones depending on what access they allow you (culprits range from those who post on PARF to known ISIS terrorist). The DHS IG caught it and TSA would have restricted them to appropriate access immediatey. Actually, 73 out of 900,000 reviewed/audited by the IG is pretty good and their catching their own one mistake is good government at work (despite the fact that they get crapped on every time they find a mistake and fix it).
