Was wondering if their are any issues. Not sure if a 2007 still has the rms issue. They look like fun and something I could autocross or take to the track and maybe trips to the coast.

Any thoughts of encouragement ?

Looked at a boxter before buying my current Porsche.

Short of the IMS issue, there are some items that I would recommend considering if you plan to use it for AX and the track. The early gen Caymans also had some issues with oiling and power steering overheating. The 2009- models are more robust in all three areas, but obviously cost more.

I would budget a third radiator, a power steering cooler(maybe an under drive pulley also), and at least a nice oil pan if you plan on using it on the track a handful of times a year. Then a proper comparison against the 2009 model can be made.

The cars are great on track otherwise, and could really be improved with an LSD.
