9 times out of 10 on my car i use the front "do not use" points, never an issue...but i dont live in an area where rust happens, so maybe thats the difference.
almost never lift up the back end, but when i do, i lift on the trans diff case (since i have an early car, i have the sturdy dual trans mounts, not the later 85+ banana-hammock)
jacks/stands go under the rear subframe.
