Screw jacks for back-up
For backup to regular jack stands I have bought a 4-pack of aluminum stabilizing/leveling RV/trailer jacks. The advantage of them as a back-up is that the support screws up from the base so they can be placed anywhere whereas jack stands only go up in increments. I just wish they were sturdier feeling though they claim to support 6000lbs each. I only use them as back-ups to sturdy steel jack stands.
