See Ping - $2500 on a long block. I could link to myriad sales of 2.7s in the For Sale section as of late but don't have the time. There have still been a lot of 2.7 motors and blocks going from $2k to $4500. I look all the time as to maybe get a spare now that runs and has some history. I don't think they will get cheaper, but who knows?
