Post 1983 Porsche 911SC Targa Wine Red

It is with great sadness that this stage of my life is coming to an end. We have been fighting this for years but the need to set-up for retirement outweighs childhood dreams. My wife bought me this car in, as best as I remember, 1997 as a surprise early Christmas present. We have had her in the family since that time.

I will post current photos this weekend but we are both working through the daylight hours so that time is gone.

Up front, the odometer is NOT correct on this car. Mileage is estimated at 140-150,000. Mileage can ONLY be estimated. The original odometer is long gone. The car is NOT ready for concours. She is a driver with very little changed from 1983. There is a crack in the center of the German windscreen. I can replace the windscreen but that will mean it gets one US or otherwise sourced from the insurance company.

Engine was re-built more than 10 years ago. 993 studs, sodium valves, timing chain upgrade. I have almost all the receipts from everything done since 1997 and you will receive that documentation. If you search my name you will see my posts on this car. Pretty much anything I worked on or had done with her is on this board.

Tab Tanner in Ohio worked on the fuel injection system for me about eight years ago to get her running correctly. This is the last major work she has seen.

Car has never been in a wreck. In August of this year some kind individual apparently rubbed a shopping cart on the passengers rear wheel well even though she was parked alone and well away from everyone. This would normally be buffed and re-sprayed. Do not know if anyone would want to freshen up the still original paint job. I have computed the cost of the repair into a discount in asking price.

I have replacement seat covers for the car, spare parts, filters, mostly complete tool kit, Porsche specific tools from the re-build, factory manuals, Bentleys, 101 Projects, Wayne's engine book, and possibly some other sundry items such as model cars to go with her to her new home. I also have a VERY inaccurate carfax from about a decade ago.

This car has spent most of her life in the Houston and Waco areas of Texas. She is currently in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I believe our family is the third owner. Title has been clear since we bought her.

1983 Porsche 911SC Targa Wine Red, asking $22,000.00. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions.
