in addition to at least 4 jackstands, slide a few tires/wheels under it an then put a few planks of wood on them to ensure it will give me a safe zone.

not my 944 but my active 930 project. pic of the rear is before I added some wood planks like is shows in front. they are easy to move around depending on where you need to get. but that is also why I use those 'dont use' points in front on the 944. doing any serious work such as a clutch job the other spots are just too confining.

can't be too safe under there.
