I can see the OPs point. Pelican was never really a site for car dealers. The argument can be made that this is an enthusiasts forum set up by Wayne for owners of older Porsches (and BMWs, etc) with the added benefit to Pelican of selling those owners the parts they'll need (and I've probably spent thousands here on my Porsches and BMWs over the years). It's not like the car dealers are contributing on the 911 technical board.
Don't dealers state that advertising is one of their overhead costs that is factored into the price of the car? Surely it is. If you purchased your car from a dealer on this site should you not get a discount?
You have to pay to be a member of Rennlist - how many dealers selling cars over there (I don't know if there is or not)?
