…But those days are long gone. The CHP and sheriff patrol here so heavily now that breaking 45 mph is almost a guaranteed ticket. They even stop you for no front plate! Even the weekdays are patrolled now. Sure, if you want to be a poser at the Rock Store or get your picture taken at "The Snake", it's great…But for spirited driving, nor anymore.



officer stout on the angeles crest and i knew each other well. and maron. and rodriguez.

ridge route is probably closed forever. and every time i go back through there's a new housing development choking off what used to be a great deserted canyon road.

it was magnificent while it lasted though.
