I've never gotten that from the styling. Especially in the original smooth and un-spoilered form, it was very much "the egg". An unusual looking car, to be sure, but I've always thought it was softly beautiful.

The thing that has always fascinated me is how influential the 928 was on the entire automotive industry. You can look at any new car today and find something that first appeared on the 928 nearly 40 years ago. It was something completely new and different when it appeared, and that doesn't happen often in the automotive world.
