Guitar Center Sessions has a great new episode featuring Merle Haggard (channel 239 on Direct TV). Merle had been touring with Willie until he had to drop out recently due to double pneumonia. You can see it a bit in this performance, but he still kills in the usual Hag style.
He has an excellent backup band (The Strangers) featuring his son on lead guitar and Norman Hamlet on pedal steel, who could give old Gogar a run for his money. Check it out if you're a fan or just want to see a legend in action.
