Tough decision:
Assuming a dependable contractor is available on short notice,
And a gas line line is ready,
And they will install it without blowing up the house and all the guests [no fk'ng joke this stuff happens all the time]
Gas cooking is faster and takes less time.

But if you need a cheap fix for now, go with enzo1's advice.

Or order take-out and think about it.
Until after the new year.
