I was interested in your other arteries and since you said they are somewhat plugged up I am not surprised. When I went in to get checked to see if stents could be used, the nurse in charge said that when I wake up which happens in the OR, if I have to stay a couple days then stents went in. If the surgeon says I can go home as soon as the tube comes out and I feel okay........no stents can be used. Guess what he said and after a couple hours the surgeon came in and said I had 4 choices: Do nothing and I would probably die from the heart attack, second try medicines but the research at UCSD Sulpezio Center showed they were not very effective, third put in stents but the "stent surgeon" already shot that down due to all arteries being plugged and last of all a quad bypass which fixes me up for the rest of my life as I am over 70 now. So I chose the last and I am glad I did. As you have found you can not do much for a while and in my case it was 5 months before I could do any muzzle loader shooting again due to the shock. I also had to wear a remote heart monitor for 2 months that called in to the heart center every couple hours to tell them how my heart was doing.

I hope the meds work for you and can get things cleaned out properly so you don't have to go through it again as it is a pain!!!
