My 80 had small Circle's on the timing Gear's with the Pulley at TO or OT I forget Top Dead center in and case .
When you back off the tensioner / Belt , the Cam well turn , Mostly the ,Pass side Cam.
So be prepared to Turn it back during assembly . Helper is in Order .
Yes the V Marks on the Motor plate are sometimes hard to see .
A dab of paint on Gear and Plate is helpful
