If you think the 991 is a superior choice, do some research on DIY maintenance and get back to me. Start with removing the rear bumper to replace the air filter.

The rear bumper has to be removed just to change an air filter? Wow.
I thought getting that upper back clip on my 3.2 Carrera air filter box back on was a pain in the arm. I have to lube my arm up with soapy water to get it shoved up in there far enough to get my finger on the clip.
I have heard some of the later 911s have a very complex oil change process that is not DYI friendly.
