by the way, it is my understanding coral snake sightings are quite rare. aslo my understanding that the coral snake venom is similar to that of a cobra...a bite from a coral will likely kill you.

they do not however have retractable fangs so even if bitten, they may not deliver the venom.

best to stay well away.
