A couple of years ago we noticed the shower drain was slow. A week later we ran the washing machine and it backup up into a bathtub. I tried every home remedy and snake I had to try. I finally called a Rooter Rooter guy on a week day and he ran his professional snake down the clean out in the back yard. Near the end of the first section he finally hit a clog of whatever. My home lever toys would never go that far or cut through whatever it was. It was not tree roots but he said "stuff happens" in the drains.
It has been fine ever since.
Sometimes it just takes the pros and professional gear to clear the problem.
