Excellent rant thar, ficke, and as you know, I always mouth off about the very same thing. These are fookin'
cars - I personally don't give two ****s about the rising values, "gotta keep it stock and low miles (or just swap out the speedometer with a low mileage one, and/or roll the odometer back) because that's where the money's at" yada' yada' yada', with regard to driving/modding my car. If I was gifted an ultra-low mile, 1975 930 I would mod and drive the stones off that thing too (would have to be a gift because I sure couldn't afford to buy one

).
Don't know if you saw this in the Turbo forum a week or so ago, but a guy over there (think it was in the POTD thread), posted pics of his car, fresh out of a shop, and said that some magician mechanic had worked on it an it was running and driving like a scalded ape - he then proceeded to say "looks like it's time to sell". I was thinking "say what"?!?! I don't get it, and like you said, why buy one of these fookin' things in the first place? Bunch of automotive limp Richards hereabouts, I tell ye'!
