Well very very early this morning I did it. I had picked a stretch of road that was flat and straight with no on ramps. On the first attempt some traffic showed up way behind me just before I was going to get on the brakes so I aborted that run though my 0-100 time was about 15 seconds. I looped around and tried again, and this time no other cars showed up and my time was
roughly 21.5 seconds, with the 0-100 at about 15.5. On the loop back I got in a slightly uphill 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds. I'm sure these times could be improved on. I just haven't practiced really hard starts in this car. I typically try to go easy on the old 915 in first gear.
Anyone else?
I timed these runs by recording with a digital camera in video mode. It was sitting on the seat so there is nothing to see but I extracted the sound. I'll upload a mp3 of it to:
