The thread title ( "Put a deposit down on a 2013 Mazda" ) reminds me of a joke my dad said circulated during WW II, when you had to be someone very special to buy a new car.
"What's the difference between a soldier and a pigeon?"
"A pigeon can make a deposit on a new car."
