Back when I first had my El Camino it was a peg leg one wheel drive vehicle. We had an ice storm and I had a hell of a time going up a very slight incline. That was when I said enough! I took it to a local drive train specialist and had them convert it to a limited slip. Wow, what a difference.
I always wondered why all cars were not limited slip until I was driving in the rain. A corner in the rain is NOT the time to accelerate much at all.

After all the years of driving it I am 100% comfortable hitting the gas a little in a corner in the rain and it is real easy to hang the tail out on the Elky. It would not be a good car to learn to drive in the rain.
