I've seen this car in person even sat in it and turned it on
While visiting a shop,
Car looked phenomenal to me
Smelled and looked great inside, paint was good
I fell off my chair when I heard it was a targa ! I couldn't believe it and couldn't see a flaw or sign that it once was. Stared long and hard, did the crab walk along the car ...stunned by the job well done.
Granted I would personally change some details around (toss the stereo and swap a steering wheel) but to each their own.
Rich gas, You sir are a what the Internet calls "a Troll" and not a true Porsche fan, most likely lift your nose and don't wave at a fellow vintage porsche 911 (targa) on the road.
Pmax did bring up a good point .... Hacked cars are the next thing
And unfortunately he's right! Nothing makes me more sick than seeing a RWB Car. Especially when it was a beautiful stock car, I cringe I hear (newbies) calling them art and people flocking like sheep to this. ITS A FIBERGLASS KIT WITH TILE GLUE AS GASKETS!!!! Not art The Honda civic crowd grown up
The only pleasure I get when seeing a RWB (Rauh welt) is knowing I will be selling fenders and bumpers to these people wanting to restore their cars back when the FAD wears out for a crazy price tag.
Or another one is "back dates" the wild trend of back dating a s/sc/Carrera especially when they are original runners.... Very sad
This Mexico blue car is not the case, it's an actual 1973 long hood! Not a "backdate" it was very tastefully done properly I my self would love to own it (granted with a few personal touches) jump in it and drive across the usa with the reliable and powerful 3.2 Carrera engine.
Find a car in similar condition (with a reliable engine) at this price
Or try to build one like it, you won't see it for a few years either
Finally yes techweenie is stand up, his word holds strong and true.
As I have also dealt with him in person, guy knows his stuff with out the BS sugar coating.
Pick your battles
