I prefer the universal variety:
I mean, c'mon, you're not going to use the filter again once you remove it. The channel locks are quick and easy, and can get into just about every angle, on the hoist, from above, lying on your back with the car on stands, etc. One of the best tools my dad ever bought for me when I was doing light mechanics working my way through college.
