Any oil filter removal tool that breaks indicates one (or more) of the following: - a defective tool, a careless owner/PO/shop over-torqued the filter, and/or the filter hasn't been removed in ages and has glazed itself stuck, plus any of the above when combined with dry contact surfaces upon installation.
