Appreciate the comments.

When I am actually home during daylight, I'll drag it out for some pictures. Not being an expert on these, I believe it to be outwardly original...valve covers etc are there. It looks pretty good, no evidence of leaks, etc. Of course, the fan shroud was painted, but the only other obvious deviation (to me, anyway) is the webers (and braided lines that were plumbed to an external sump tank, but these would be replaced anyway).

Personally, I'd prefer the 2.2 P/Cs, more power and they look the same.

I'll see if I can't add some pics this weekend. Maybe do a leakdown just for yucks.

If I get a chance, I'll see what else I can find out about the motor/carbs tonight.

The case number is 903781, which I think should put the build date as late 65 or early 66, for the 66 model year. I don't have my books with me, but that's what I'd assume.
