Tap Any bad threads should you have such . ( so slow as the aluminum is soft )
some Indian Head sealant is fine Just a dab.
Yes some bolts go into the Water Jacket and you can buy new bolts from Pelican if needed
Most use a small amount of sealant on the Gaskets .
Spend some time removing all the old Gasket material from the block and get it all .
Pay special attention to the Seal / Gasket where the tensioner bolts on
The Aluminum Block can and well Scratch up easy so be very careful or you well lose the sealing ability.
Others :
Check for wear on the crankshaft from front seal . DO NOT FORGET TO CHANGE THE FRONT SEAL FOR SURE like $10
You really need a Tool to tension the Belt and it must be re-tightened after some miles or time
I would say 5 to 10 K Miles or a Year gone by , simple just pull the cam cover and re set it .
The Laso Pump is a good one for the simple reason of the Combo Bearing ( roller / Ball )
If I could buy the Bearing alone I would lol
Replace any bad rollers and the Belt tensioner should it be bad . Naturally the Belt as well
