One of the neuroplasticity things that affected me is the shift pattern on my 911.
I drove a 914 starting when I was 19. It was my only car for over 22 years. My brain and hands knew the shift pattern. 1st gear was against the spring and back.
Then I moved into a 911 with a 915 transmission. I had to stop and think what the shift pattern is. To this day if I don't drive the 911 for a month I have to think about it. After a few days of constant driving it becomes second nature and I don't have to think about the shift pattern.
